Advanced Make Up Course

Hi Y'All,

It's been a long time since I last blogged. I know I know.... but better late than never right?!?

1) Let's start with some good news.... I got into the Advance Make Up Course at the school I've been wanting to attend yay.....I'm thrilled that I got in....I had to do a 2 hour test/practical....(I failed the first test, but persistence and spirit prevails).... the course starts on 5th June and runs every Saturday and Sunday....so my next 3 weekends are booked up....I am so looking forward in starting this course...
Here's a couple of pics of make up looks I've done in the past:

ok....so this is the first time I'm trying to post pics up along with my blogging...not so easy...I dunno why the pics don't just paste where I want them to....grrr...any tips anyone?

2) I got a hair cut a couple of weeks ago and coloured my hair a little darker last month... I've got a fringe again and I think my hair looks almost black again...but my friends keep telling my hair is still really light...hehe... I don't have pic of me with my new hair cut...well not a good one...hehe

3) I saw Carmen the opera....was a good show but we had the worst seats...right up the back in the rafters....hehe... I didn't realise how many famous songs came out of that Opera...

4) I was in Switzerland for work last Wednesday & Thursday, conference was good...but then our flight got cancelled....we were lucky enough to get on another flight as my team and I just had hand luggage....all up around about an 8 hour trip to get home....it wasn't the ash this time but French air traffic controllers going on strike....oui zee French...

5) Things to look forward to are my make up course definitely, N.E.R.D concert (Pharell is so hot) and Tap Dogs with Adam Garcia

6) I'm still enjoying London.....the weather has been good for London standards.... =)

Take Care

Marmite Cereal Bars?!?! Are you for real?

G'day Mate,

If you're Aussie then you have Vegimite. You might have it on toast, Vegimite and Cheese, Vegimite on SAOs with margarine (my personal fav) and the list goes on...

Here in the UK they have Marmite, not quite as nice as Vegimite. I think they do similar things with it like Marmite and Cheese and on toast etc etc. But get this, they've put Marmite in a cereal bar. They were handing them out in Victoria station this morning. I thought why not give it a go.

I didn't open it. I got to work and offered it to a colleague who absolutely loves Marmite. She was so excited when she saw the cereal bar. I'm like I just want to try a tiny piece. Nearly threw up it was that disgusting. I had to spit it out immediately (into some tissue of course). My colleague loved it. Good for her. Marmite might just have an audience.

They're marketing is quite clever as well "Have we gone to far?" then you have the opening of giving your opinion.

Well that's enough talk about a gross spread.

Sorry for not blogging more....will try my best...

Take Care my blogees (is that what a reader of a blog is called? If I'm the blogger you must be my blogees....bwauahahhaha)

Indo Trip 16th - 31st Jan 2010

Hi Guys,

I know I know I've been pretty slack with blogging. Don't think I didn't think about it when I was travelling. I did!

Well so far this year I have been in Jakarta, Indonesia from 16th -31st Jan 2010. The purpose of my visit was to go to my cousin's wedding and to visit relatives and of course shopping.

Last time I went back to Indo was in 2006 (I think). I've been there 5 times now I think (bad memory). Every time I go back I enjoy it more and more. The first time I went I was really young and then I went back in 2000 and didn't really enjoy it. Was supposed to have gone for 4 weeks but left after 2 weeks, as I just graduated from uni and need to look for a job.

I think after this visit I would really like to try to live in Indo for at least 6 to 12 months. The life style there is so different. The difference between rich and poor is highly visible. But I think Indo is an amazing country with heaps and heaps of people, anything is possible if you know the right people. It's a developing country so there are lots of opportunities.

The latest craze over there is frozen yogurt. I've tried Sour Sally and Red Mango franchises. I prefer the Red Mango. These are American franchises and I was watching Asian CNN while over there and they said the frozen yogurt industry is a cash cow at the moment for the last 2 years. So if you've got some money get in there.

As you know or may not know I'm going to start my make up course soon. I found out that a couple of my cousins/relatives are make up artists over there. One of them who is also called Diana (fabulous name) did the make up for our cousin's wedding.

The favourite past time in Indo is shopping. There are so many shopping malls over there now with more being built. It's just crazy that everyone like shopping. I was shopping one day (out of everyday we went shopping) and my dad bumped into like 4 school friends. Some of them he hasn't seen in years. Amazing, such a small world.

My biggest purchase there is my new compact camera. I got the Lumix TZ7. I highly recommend it. I love it as it also does HD video!!!

Before going over to Indo I made a list of foods that I wanted to eat. My colleagues thought this was hilarious and didn't understand. I pretty much ate everything I wanted: satay, fried gourami, fried bananas, martabak manis (the best), mangis (mango stein), durian, rambutan, durian ice cream, lots and lots of seafood, even had some crushed ice without suffering any consequences, percadel, que pepe (dunno how to spell it), risoless, bacang ...hehe hope there are no Indo reading this as my spelling is atrocious.

I would like to live in Indo coz as I mentioned I believe anything is possible there and because I want my own BiBi....hehe...

Again, if you are reading this don't you anything better to do? Well thanks for taking some time to read my blog. I feel honoured.
=)

Keep smiling and try something new!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Hi To You The Reader Of My Blog!

HAPPY NEW YEAR! Hope you had an awesome time bringing in the new year. Bring on 2010!

A friend told me that you're not supposed to tell anyone your new years resolutions...but hey rules are meant to be broken right? So here is goes:

My resolutions:
1. just like the majority of people in the world - to loose weight, eat healthy, go the gym regularly and in general be more healthy (yes I've grouped this as one resolution)

2. I've finally enrolled in a make-up course! yay I'm so excited about this. It starts in Feb.

3. Post things up on Youtube about anything and everything

4. Take more pics with my SLR so I can then move on and buy a new lens and camera. Hehe...would like for my love of make-up and photos to be able to take me somewhere...

5. Hopefully move my career in the right direction and land a role in the area I've wanted to get into for so long now

Now I'm accountable to you guys and hopefully keep you updated on my progress on each of the above.
For the first resolution, I do have a PT (personal trainer) so I don't wanna disappoint them either.

Thanks for reading.

P.S. don't you have anything else better to do than read this?
;)
